1 Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you may and may not do with CODASMS's numbers and Service. It forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to follow it.
2 Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for how you use any number and any code you receive, and for ensuring your use is lawful in your country and in any country whose service you are verifying. CODASMS provides infrastructure; it does not authorise, endorse, or take responsibility for the accounts or actions you create with it.
3 Prohibited uses
You must not use the Service to:
- Break any law, regulation, or sanctions regime, or facilitate anyone else doing so.
- Commit or enable fraud, financial crime, money laundering, scams, or phishing.
- Impersonate a person, business, or authority, or misrepresent your identity to deceive.
- Harass, threaten, stalk, defame, or endanger any person.
- Send or enable spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or mass fake-account creation for abuse.
- Evade a lawful ban, suspension, or block placed on you by a platform or authority.
- Access, attack, or compromise any account, system, or network you are not authorised to use.
- Facilitate child sexual abuse material, terrorism, trafficking, or other serious harm.
- Acquire or distribute another person's data without lawful basis.
- Resell or sublicense the Service except under an agreement we have approved in writing.
[Lawyer/ops: extend this list to match your payment providers' and upstream supplier's prohibited-use terms.]
4 Third-party platform rules
Many apps and websites have their own terms about using virtual or temporary numbers. Some prohibit them. Complying with those terms is your responsibility. A platform rejecting a virtual number, or banning an account created with one, is outside our control and is not grounds for a refund once a code has been delivered.
5 Technical limits
You must not place abnormal load on the Service, attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape inventory at scale, or interfere with other users. Automated or API access, if offered, must stay within the limits we publish. We may throttle, restrict, or block activity that threatens service stability or our upstream supply.
6 Enforcement
If we believe you have breached this AUP, we may — without prior notice — warn you, restrict or suspend your account, cancel orders, withhold or reverse promotional credit, forfeit balance linked to abuse where permitted by law, and report unlawful activity to the authorities. Enforcement decisions are at our reasonable discretion.
7 Reporting abuse
If you believe the Service is being used to harm you or others, contact [abuse@codasms.com] with details. We review reports and act where appropriate.
